"It's Not yet the End but the New Beginning"

Our four grading period in this last school year is going to be end. It makes me feel sad that even in this last grading period I haven’t still at the top. Well I’m not dreaming for being an honor student what I mean is I haven’t yet brought out the best in me. I tried but there are so many hindrances.

I didn't meet the start of this last grading period because I attended the practices for the Longganisa Street Dancing although I did my best to cover up with all the lessons. The first time I heard about the lesson it feels like my head is going to burst out. I’m not good in photo editing especially at Photoshop but I tried my best to understand all the tools there. I felt nervous every time we had our activity but I’m so very thankful for having good friends that always there when I need some help. And because with their help together with our teacher I passed and finished all the activities.

Saying thank you is not enough but it’s just a simple way of wiping all those sweats you had when you are there patiently teaching and helping us. Maybe this will be the end of our high school life but it is also the start of a new chapter of our life where the real battle begins. You will always be in my heart dear friends, teachers and everybody. You will always be remembered by me.

"Something New"

Change is something hard to do because you have to leave all those things you used to be and a make a difference in your daily routine. It’s something difficult. A simple word but a has very deep meaning.

Change starts with one’s self. It should be start with you. You have to be a better person to be a model to the youngsters. It should be done with all your hearts. If you want to change think first what will be the effect of it, is it for the best or for the worst? All I want to change is those personalities which always putting me down. I want to be good not because of my own sake but for everybody. I want to be a better friend, a better daughter and a better girl. I want to be an “Ate” for all those little children who is craving for the love of an Ate. I will be a better child of God.

Change is something that you cannot do in a simple blinking of an eye but it takes a long period of time to have a real change. It might take so long but we should patient cause this for everybody. Start the change in yourself.

"What A Dream"

       

  Future? Future? I always see, I always here. Oh! Future where are you came from? Who are you? Are you for good or for worse? Curiosity? Oh yes I filled with so much curiosity. I know you feel the same to. Would you like to know about the future too? Come and let us explore it together.

            The cold breeze starting to touch my skin. Oh! It’s already early in the morning and it’s so cold but I have to go because somebody’s waiting for me right there. Somebody who need my help. I’m wearing a white garment. Yes, you’re right I am a doctor. This kind of profession is something difficult but we have to do our responsibilities. Every wrong move is equivalent to one life. That’s how hard our profession is.

             As I enter the lobby I heard somebody’s asking for help. And as I enter the Hospital, there she is, a woman who is crying and begging for help. Everyday this is our life; this is the consequence of being a doctor is. Anytime they will call you and ask for your help and you have to rush because it’s your duty to save life. That is a life of a doctor. It’s our pleasure to save life and it let me feel great. But what a stress reliever when you got home. Two Angels are waiting for you there and welcome you with their sweet kisses and warm hugs. Yes, I also have family. My husband is a Doctor too and we have two little angels. We are living in our simple dream house called “Home”.

            Ring! Ring! Ring! Suddenly the alarm clock rang. What a dream I had. Meeting the future is quite amazing. It is so beautiful. It’s make me feel excited. Yeah! I’m excited for the future.

"Captivating Culture"

          Kannawidan is Festival which shows the beautiful culture of Ilocos Sur. It is the Festival where you can see such amazing native products, cultural shows and the great talents of the Ilocanos. It’s a festivity which the province celebrates every year.

           Kannawidan Festival became a yearly celebration that aims to generate awareness on the maintenance of the province rich intellectual legacy, practices and ethnicity, and a showcase of the different agriculture and industry products of the province. It is located at the Quirino Stadium in Bantay. Kannawidan was opened with the traditional opening ritual led by the native citizens of Ilocos Sur together with Governor Ryan Singson. There are such amazing activities in this festival. There was the ethnic presentation of the cultural communities of Ilocos Sur which is so captivating. They showed their talents as well as their native costumes. There was also a Trade Fair where the products of the communities of the province were showcased including foods and handicrafts. There was also a Choir competition that is so captivating. There is also a Beauty Contest which also known as Saniata ti Agtutubo where you can see such beautiful ladies representing their native community. In this festival, you can see beautiful artists in the television whom you’re dreaming to meet in personal. I know such of us says “It’s a dream come true” to see our idols where we often see at the televisions only. There so much more activities in Kannawidan which can touch your heart.

              Come and explore the beautiful culture of the Ilocos Sur Province. Let us celebrate Kanniwidan together. Let the beautiful products reach your eyes. The delicious foods which you will never forget and the amazing talents of Ilocanos. So what you’re waiting for? Come and let us explore the adventure in Ilocos. 

The New Beginning

 New Year is not about change. It’s all about something new, new life, new beginning to live a better life. Can you share something new about you this New Year? Come and let's do it together.

  New Year is the start of a new better life. God has given us another year to be his better children. He gave us another year of happiness and sorrow. We should be thankful because of giving us another chance to live for. Well, all I want this new year is not about change, it’s all about something new that you haven’t yet seen on me. I had to let you see something new, new personalities are one. Somehow I had to have good personalities and dump those entire bad one. I want to be a better friend, a friend for all. I want to be a better granddaughter, the one who can always be there for her grandparents. And most of all I want to be a better daughter who always obey her parents. I want to be and I can be a better girl for everybody. Although I know I don’t have to change everything in me because this is me. All I want is to let out all the best in me.

          It’s a New Year for us to be happy no matter what hindrances come along the way of achieving happiness. A New Year to enjoy life. A New Year and a new beginning. Have a Prosperous and a happy New Year everyone. Let us welcome 2014 with love and care. Let us live this year with God. Have a Blessed 2014 to all of us.

"Bidding You Goodbye"

           Third Grading Period? well, it sound so nice but the worst thing is its going to end again. How fast time consume this grading period. Its's like a magic than in a short period it can be disappear. But what happen for this grading period?

    Third Grading starts during the month of November. Lot of activities to do because of it we can't avoid commiting failures. But behind those failures is also a lot of lessons that I've learned. Some of our subject is not so easy like ICT. We only discuss some lessons but it seems so hard to learn. But I can say I did my best to have a better grade for this grading period. I perform in a moderate, not so good not so bad. As we continue to tackle this grading period it became harder and harder. But God is so good that He gave me enough strenght to face all of this. He let me out the best in me.

        It's time to say goodbye dear third grading period. Even do I'm not as good as what you to think during your time I want to say thank you for all the knowledge and also for all the failures. Till we meet again. :)

"Give Love on Christmas Day"

          Christmas is one of the most awaited events in every year of existence. But we, teens are blind. We failed to see the real essence of Christmas. May I ask you, do you indeed distinguish the factual importance of Christmas?
        Christmas is known to be the birth of our savior Jesus Christ. We’ve been celebrating Christmas as respect to the birth of our Savior and so with the Holy Family where Jesus is belong. It is the time to say thank you to him for saving us through our sins. Well for us it is a time to give and receive. Yes we are right because it’s the time for us to give love and care to others. It’s time to forgive all the sinners. It’s time to forget the past and live a new life. It is also a perfect time to bond with family.

 Like what the song said “Why don’t you give love on Christmas day?”  Let us celebrate it with Love because what Lord God said “Loving others also loves me”.  We celebrate it our faith to our Savior. Let’s give love on Christmas day. May our Lord Bless us through the year. A happy and healthy family through the year everyone.

“Consequence of Climate Change”

Climate change is a significant and lasting change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns over periods ranging from decades to millions of years. It may be a change in average weather conditions, or in the distribution of weather around the average conditions. Climate change is caused by factors such as biotic processes, variations in solar radiation received by Earth, plate tectonics, and volcanic. Certain human activities have also been identified as significant causes of recent climate change, often referred to as "global warming".

 Climate change is a big problem in a society. It is one major problem a society is facing right now. Through the deeds of humanity the Environment we used to be is not like yesterday. It should be called “Heaven” but now the paradise is now destroyed by us. Climate change is contributing to these events becoming more intense. The effect of climate change may ruin our life. It can cause death and diseases because of the unexpected changed. Today’s generation is suffering from the threats of nature. Climate change situates children into different kind of diseases. The unexpected change of the Philippine’s climate give a very great effect in the country’s healthiness. I'm not saying that human presences alone are initiating global warming, they're not. The Earth is profitable through one of its warming cycles, however there is no hesitation, that humanity are addition to that in a hazardous and disastrous manner. If not, we initiate to yield this seriously, according to experts; typical weather related tragedies could affect 375 million people every year by 2015, up from 263 million in 2010.

           We, teens now are failed to witness the truth. We’ve been blind to witness the needs of our Mother Nature. And now Mother Nature is awakening us through natural calamities. We are the cause of all tragedies we’re facing right now. Humanity is the cause of death. The Philippine society should invoke projects that will help people to rise again after tragedies. We should be a good warrior for our nature. We should be the one who’s saving it and not to destroy it. Start the change now and build up the “Paradise” to its original look for the next generation. Let them witness the real “Paradise”.

"PARITY"

            

Every man in the world has their own rights. But sometimes opportunity comes only a few times. Life should have the equal rights and opportunities. 

We have the rights in every part of the society where we belong. We have the right for everything. But why opportunity comes only few times? We can have the rights but sometimes we can’t have the opportunity. There are some people in a society who is more powerful that can control the rights and sometimes opportunity also. Yes we have the rights but powerful people have the power to get it from us. We should fight for our rights and also for the opportunities. Open your eyes and fight for the rights and grab the opportunities because it only knocks once. No one is poor and powerful when comes to right and opportunities. We are all equal in the eyes of God. We are created equally.            

Sometimes life is unfair but we, people should deal with it in the fairest way. Every human should be treated equally because each of us has the equal rights in a society. 

ENGLISH for Exploration

             We all know that English is considering as the world wide language. Sometimes we, Filipinos are having fun of using it even do sometimes we’re using it in a wrong way. A lot of unanswered questions is always left over my mind like the most important role of English in a society, in human and everything.

               We are not all blessed in speaking English. Sometimes it could take a long period of time for us to be capable on it. English is one of the best all known language in the world actually it is the Best. Of course we all want to learn how to speak in English because it is entitled as the Universal Language. This language has a very important role in a society we belong. It is use to communicate worldwide. Where ever part of the globe you are there is English. It helps us to explore worldwide. If we know how to speak with it we will have the confidence to join a worldwide competition because we have the ability to speak the universal language. Being an explorer English is a great help for us because it help us to communicate with others.

             English is language for everybody. It is such a wonderful and great language. It can help us in different fields of life. The language that helps us to communicate with others. Every man who knows to speak this language is so blessed because only some of us can speak on it. 

Mirror, mirror in the Class

FlashBack

          Time pass so fast. Another chapter, another grading is going to end again and yet I'm still at the bottom. First grading is just like yesterday and now second grading is gonna end. It's like magic! In just a simple blink things gonna end. But questions ruined my mind! Is there any improvement in me? This question is always left unanswered.
          Maybe I'm living with technologist but I am not good as it. At the first grading period ICT is just OK but as we go on and face another grading its getting harder but more fun. When I was still in third year I'm afraid on this subject because some seniors talk about editing and I know I'm not good with it. But all of this dropped together when our teacher start to tackle the topics. The second grading period focused on blogs and html. Well I can say I improved in this grading period because I all done all the activities and requirements. As all we know life is full of problems. When Mrs. Vera Cruz start to discuss about HTML I was afraid because I thought it was hard. Because in the first place I cant understand what HTML really is. But Mrs. Vera Cruz is such a good teacher she let us analyze  all the lessons. This grading period we misses lots of classes because of some holidays and also because of typhoons. I feel nervous because I thought we can't finish all the lessons but we did. I swear I can improve more for the next grading period because I know there is still the best on me inside me and I hope I can make it out.
         ICT is such an enjoyable and great subject but sometimes the lessons is hard to analyze. I know its not all about the lessons but more on fun. As you find it fun I know you will do it better. That's how I perform for this grading period.

"Prodigious Gift"

          I know that you are familiar with the slogan “If you can read this thank a teacher” but may I ask you, did you ever try to say thank you to them?

       Teacher is one great gift from God that a child can receive. They serve as the second parent of each children and take note not only a parent but a friend too, one real friend. Teachers play a very important role in one’s life. Maybe sometimes they are annoying because of lots of sermons from them but come to think all what they saying are also for our own good. At first, I hate getting up early just to be in school and most of all I really hate school. But because of them I learn to love and value school and always excited to get up early just to be in school as early as I can. Their smiles serve as my strength to face all the consequences of being a student. Always remember that they are a saviour. Always have that open shoulder for us students cry and lean for. They are a friend who always there to listen and talk about problems and never let you face problems alone. Teachers are really wonderful, their smile makes us smile, their love and care is always ours and their knowledge is our knowledge too.

         Teachers are part of every child’s life. They are one of the greatest heroines in earth yesterday, today and also in the future. They will never been tired of teaching, loving and caring for their students. Let us thank them for being our parent, teacher, friend and a saviour. They will always be part of every child’s success. THANK YOU TEACHERS! WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH J

Build the Solutions, Bit the Causes and Build up a Better Future

           

                  When you hear the word “Science” what’s the first think sink in your mind? A scientist? The chemicals? Or the experiments? Well it is all part of science. What and why is science important in a society? These questions always left unanswered in my mind.

                Science has a very important role in society. Where ever you look, where ever you are there is science. But nowadays lot of problems the society facing now is cause by science. One of them is the ever known Global Warming. Global Warming is one of the most conscious problems that a society might face. But of course we can’t blame science for having this kind of problems because in the first place science have a good purpose it just depends on how people use it so in other hand it’s all our fault why we are facing those problems. Science also deals with nature. For now our nature is not valued by people. They are abusing it in some non-sense thing just to have money. We don’t think that we might lose what mother earth given to us. She might get all of this in just a simple blink of an eye. We have to move and start working for the betterment of our nature. Let’s start to build up the solutions to bit the causes. Start building a newly and better society.

                Start building up the solutions today, defeat the causes of yesterday and start building up a better society for the future. Start building up a higher level of society for the next generation.

"The Paramount Hero"

 Everyone can be a hero of our life but as individual we have only one to consider as the hero of our life. As a child we are only think of the super heroes in the television but never seen in reality.  Is there really a hero in reality?

          A hero is like what we see in televisions, the one who have the super powers to save the earth. When I was a child my favourite super hero was wonder woman it’s because she is the only girl in the justice league. I once dreamed to be like her. I’m always wondering where she got that super power so I can get too. But as I grow old and become mature I realized the real meaning of a hero. Today’s heroines are such a great people. But for me my parents are the best heroes I ever met. I saw the quality of a hero at them. They never fail to make me happy. They always have that open arms to comfort me and the shoulders where I can lean and cry for. They are the only persons who are always after me.  They are my asset to stand in front of everyone. The love they give to me is my strength to continue living and to face all the consequences of life. The way they love and care for me is their super powers that no one can ever take. They inspired me better than a cartoon superhero. They are the best super hero in the whole world.

          We can all be a hero in our own way. We are all have the ability to be a hero the only thing that matter is, it depends on how people deal with us. All I can say is just believe in yourself, believe that you can and believe that you will be a super hero better that those in televisions.

"Open your Eyes and You will see its Value"

               August, as we all know it was the month for our “Inang Wika”. As participation we should use our native language the “Wikang Tagalog” but nowadays, teens can no longer or hardly pronounce our native language. Questions in my mind starting do build up and one of them is WHY?

              Teenagers nowadays are having fun of using different languages. But as my observation they are not that capable of pronouncing our own language. They seldom use Filipino as they talk to each other. At first I was amazed by them because it’s my first time to hear those kinds of languages. When I was a child I admit I also want to learn the different kinds of foreign languages but as I grow old I realized how important our native language is. We should know the value of it. Come to think, this is one reason also why our heroes fight for. This month’s celebration theme is: “Wikang Filipino ang Daang Matuwid”. At first it’s hard to analyse the meaning of it but when you are good in our own language you can easily get the meaning of it. The theme was also based on the slogan our president given to us. Like what President Manuel A. Roxas told us, “ Ang Wika ay ang Kaluluwa ng isang bansa na nag-uugnay sa bawat pulo nito” yes he is right we have to use our own language to easily understand each other. We can easily understand what bwe want for the sake of our country. We should have the unity to attain our goals and to easily get in the straight path.

               As we use our own language foreigner can easily know where we came or what country we came from. Start opening the eyes of teenagers. Let them see the value and importance of our own language. 

Four Years Of His Excellency

      July 22,2013, all eyes and ears focused on the televisions waiting for the "State of the Nation Address" of His Excellency, Benigno S. Aquino III, Presidents of the Philippines to the Congress of the Philippines. Its like world seems to stopped because of this one of the most awaiting events in the history of the Philippines.
      The SONA of The President focused on the different sector of the government. A different programs were implemented by the government for the sake of the Filipino citizens. The newly implemented curriculum called K-12 was one project in the field of Education. At first its just waste of money because of the greater years in high school but once it was explained in the Filipino citizens they now define it as a great help. Such newly built architectures also was implemented in the Republic of the Philippines. Those architectures helps as to communicate better with the other provinces of our country.
       Our economy increases as the Aquino starts leading our country. According to some celebrities it was another year of a job well done. Four years after when the Aquino administration starts leading our country and that four years of his term was been success because of the different projects of the administration. The Filipino citizens should have the unity for a better country.      

Nutrition for the Future

        July? for a student like me, we consider it as one of the amazing month of the year because it is consider as the nutrition month. It is the month of eating only nutritious food. Students are very excited because of the different activities. As a students, are you ready to celebrate this month occasion? 

         This month's occasion have the team of " Gutom at Malnutrisyion Sama-sama nating Wakasan". A different activities will be conducted by the STEP and TLE club. The month of July was one of the most awaited month of the school year. It is the occasion who was first celebrated in the school year. With this different activities you can see how creative students are. From the making of Jingle, Poster and others you can see how smart and creative students are. Not only that, it can also help us to be a good entrepreneur because of the food festival where students sell different nutritious food. Students have their own different techniques to won the said activity. The one who have the highest gain will declare as the winner.  Nutrition month is not all about eating nutritious food but also help us to build up our mental, social and physical health in order to obtain a good nutrition status.

            Let's help each other and shout " Gutom at Malnutrisyion Sama-sama nating Wakasan". We shall have the unity to have a better country.

"P-noy for Education"

Dear P-Noy,

             First of all I would like to greet you a wonderful day. May you be in good vibes upon reading this letter. By the way I am Jhovie Rafanan, a concern 4th year student of Ilocos Sur National High School.

          Sir, as a concern student of my school I would like to share the ideas, opinions and observations in our school. I know you did a great projects for Living Hoods and in improving our Economy and maybe this time you can now start making projects concern in the field of Education. Sir, I would like you to help our school in some problems that we're facing now. Yes we have a good educators but the problem are the dirty facilities we have and also we are lack of facilities. Inbehalf of the students of Ilocos Sur National School, we would like to ask more facilities and also for the maintenance of it.

         Lastly I would like to Congratulate you sir for a job well done in improving our Living Hood and Economy. And also I wish you a good health and more power to make our country a better one.
